Jon Romero was introduced to drones through the Army National Guard in a Reconnaissance role as a Cavalry Scout. The number of capabilities the SUAS provided in this role ignited a passion for the possibilities and uses for information collection outside of the military. While working in Utility installation found a number of use cases for drones to provide information pull for construction projects to have safer projects and save money and time. SAS was founded in 2020 to fully envision the use of these geospatial capabilities to aid the industry as a whole in information collection and dissemination.
